A flat tire is an annoying part of driving which most drivers will experience at some point in life. Perhaps the only “good” thing about having a flat is when you realize that you have a temporary spare, also more commonly referred to as a “donut”.
However, this type of spare tire was designed much differently than a full-size tire. Other than its obvious smaller size, the donut spare tire holds a higher inflation level than a full-size tire. Typically, it’s 60 psi. Although it fits on your car, it’s not supposed to be used long-term because it can affect the suspension which can greatly alter the handling capability.
