Winter blades are different than regular wiper blades in that they are usually covered in rubber. What this does, is prevent ice from building up within the framework of the blades. Winter blades prevent the buildup of ice due to their rubber covering, thus allowing the framework to still move and flex. Having a clear windshield is essential for driver safety.
